We are so excited to kick off 2023 with a blast. Starting this month, we will be offering free virtual classes and training seminars for individuals with disabilities and their families. We are also restarting our adaptive basketball program from Jan 29th! This program will cost $75 and will continue for 5 weeks. We have a whole year's worth of events planned for our families, and have already scheduled them for you! You can click on our new calendar to take a look at these events and save the dates!

We are proud to announce that we have been awarded a grant.
Earlier this year we applied for a grant, and we are pleased to share that we were successful! This Digital Inclusion Grant will be sponsored by Ciena, and will be used for improving the lives of individuals with disabilities. Here are some of the new and current programs that will be improved with this grant:

1. WeEMBRACE Creations: A Platform to help individuals with disabilities sell products from their micro-enterprises

2. Resource Directory Creation
​
3. Improved Virtual Offerings: New Classes and Trainings!
​
4. WeEMBRACE Marketplace: A one-stop online destination to exchange services, goods and information solely pertaining to helping individuals with disbailities.
Book Fall 2022 Virtual Classes Now!
Our classes start on September 11, 2022.
After a 2 month break, we are back with our free virtual classes for individuals with disabilities! We have 30 classes for you, and they are all led by our super amazing volunteers. Make sure you sign up for these classes as they are a great way to socialize and learn new things during this summer.

Crazy Busy September!
We are starting 4 new programs, and hosting our first annual sports day!
We've been super busy over the summer to come up with new programs for our families. Starting September 10th, we will be launching 3 new programs! Here are the details:

September 10th: Community Walks Start
September 10th: In Person Enrichment Programs Start
September 11th: Support Groups Start

We are also excited to announce our very first Annual Sports Day! We looked around and noticed that there weren't a lot of events like this, and wanted to create something unique for individuals with disabilities. Our first annual sports day will take place on September 25th, 2022.
​
Finally, we are in the works of starting an Adaptive Sports Program for individuals with disabilities. Details will be shared via newsletter and social media very soon. If you haven't signed up for our mailing list already, please do so!

WeEMBRACE Resource Fair
RSVP for our Disability Resource Fair and Arts & Crafts Fair!
For our first official in-person event since COVID-19, we will be hosting a Disability Resource Fair, and Arts & Crafts Fair on Saturday, June 4th 2022 at Folsom High School in Folsom, CA. We have over 50 vendors who provide services and products for individuals with disabilities attending the event! Entry is completely free to the public. We will also be sharing information about our new initiative for individuals with disabilities hoping to launch their own businesses: WeEMBRACE Creations.
WeEMBRACE receives Platinum Transparency
We’re excited to share that our organization has earned a 2022 Platinum Seal of Transparency with Candid! We will always strive to reach the highest standards of transparency and honesty.

WeEMBRACE Kids take on Ciena Solutions Challenge
Read about their project: Zero Waste Celebrations
Our kids worked with Cienna employees on their project: Zero Waste celebrations to answer questions about how we can integrate entertainment and celebration for an ecologically friendly world. We are happy to share that Zero Waste Celebrations was identified as a project to be featured in the Ciena Solutions Challenge Online Gallery, showcasing inspiring examples of youth creativity and innovation from around the world.
